APPLICATION
Single and multi-conductor power cables for voltages up to 2000V, used for the transmission and distribution of electrical power for indoor, outdoor, for installation on trays, aerial, underground, or submarine applications. Extra-heavy duty for connecting welding equipment and cathodic protection systems.
Note: Any other application or use not described above is considered prohibited.
CONSTRUCTION
Conductor
For its manufacture, different materials can be used such as soft copper, tinned copper, 1350 aluminum or 8000 series aluminum for the construction of conductors, both solid and concentric or flexible type stranding.
Insulation
Thermoplastic materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinyl chloride/nylon (PVC/Ny), polyethylene (PE), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and thermosetting materials such as cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) are used.
Shielding (Optional)
When required by the application, the cables may be shielded with electrostatic copper tape or other non-magnetic material. They may also be shielded with foil tape and a drain conductor.
Jacket (Optional)
Cables may have protective sheaths made of materials such as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE), Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), and Halogen-Free Low Smoke.
