We completed our initiative: "Fabrics that Electrify the Future"

On Monday, September 30, at Centelsa by Nexans we completed our initiative “Fabrics that Electrify the Future”, a project that promotes the development of vulnerable sectors and that frames our E3 model. 

During one year, we managed to collect about 1.4 tons of clothing donated by our workers, which were transformed by the Association of Women of Yumbo - RESURGIR, who through the art of recovery and textile manufacturing, manage to generate income and improve their quality of life. 

Through this initiative, we are contributing to the Circular Economy by giving a new use to these garments, reducing water consumption by omitting the manufacture of new textiles and preventing the decomposition process of these garments from generating more greenhouse gases.

The “Fabrics that Electrify the Future” initiative is a clear testimony of our commitment to promote a sustainable future and to play an active role as an agent of change in society.
